Nena’s Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
This restaurant is under new ownership, kept the name. the food and the environment is better. the waiters, the waitresses and the cooks all very friendly. I invite you to visit it. I think the food could be improved a little bit more
Spotted randomly and was greatly surprised by the absolute DELICIOUSNESS of their food. Felt like it was my mom's cooking and the service was great as well. Prices are low compared to how happy I'm feeling :) Strongly recommend their Chia water it is amazing!!
Great Salvadorean food. This is probably the best Salvadorean breakfast I have found in the city so far (plantains, eggs, crema, queso, etc). Their pupusas also stand should-to-shoulder with some of the best in the city -- it follows that their tortillas are also excellent. Their empanadas de crema/platano are wonderful. Service is perfect. I'd like to return to try some of their seafood dishes.
Hands down the best Salvadoran food in San Francisco. Pupusas are great, soups are amazing. Remember they only take cash so be prepared for that. Take the time and visit this little gem in the city.
Cash only, but there's an ATM at Safeway and the corner store nearby. Highly recommend the pupusas, which are about $3.25 to $3.50 each.
Delicious atole de elote - so rich, so nicely spiced - and zucchini pupusa at Nena's in Bernal Heights! Knowing Spanish definitely helps if you want to order, though. We may have had an adventure.
Great place, with very good pupusas. Music can sometimes be on the loud side, but the staff is friendly and the food is great.
A low-key spot near or in the Mission. The chef's touch is simply delicious. I usually go to have their sopa de res, and portion control is not a thing for them. The owners are down to earth and they make you feel welcomed. As an added plus, at least for me, they have a jukebox!
